Summer is here! Or so it seems!
The weather has taken a turn for the better with us having one of the warmest April’s on record. It is giving people a taste of what is to come as we are told from the weather men. Due to the lousy summer last year and bad winter we are expected to receive a glorious summer. With this in mind it is time to give some thought as to our holidays. What better time to invest in high quality beach towels for your time abroad or relaxing in the sun on a golden beach.
Each of the beach towels are created from 100% cotton and offer extra absorbency, making them perfect either for drying ones body after a dip in the sea or swimming pool or just to lie on in the glorious sun. On top of that they offer a delightful embroidery service allowing you to personalise each towel with any message or logo you like.

When the textile industry was mechanised in the early nineteenth century, bathing was not nearly as popular as it is today. The manufacturing was time consuming and purchasing was expensive. Bath towels were originally made from plain linen, and it wasn’t until the 1890s when more soft and absorbent materials replaced the plain linen towels.
The styles and design of bath and hand towels have become more elaborate over the years, mainly to grab the attention of potential customers.
Although we all regard the towel as a towel, as the size changes, generally speaking, so does the name. Larger towels are commonly regarded as beach towels, and as the size decreases, it becomes the bath towel and then the hand towel.

Where would we be without towels?
Imagine after having a shower or bath you were unable to wrap yourself in a luxurious warm towel and dry ones body. The thought is unimaginable but in the early days before the towel came into existence you would have to literally stand possibly in front of a fire to become dry or worse still just place your clothes back on whilst you were wet. Thanks to the revolutionary textile industry we have an abundance of different sized and styled towels to indulge in after bathing.
Although we regard the towel as an everyday aspect to our life, there are many different colours and styles of towels along with many different materials. One of the most consistent fabrics found within a towel is cotton usually stated at being 100% as this is one of the finest materials not only for comfort but for absorbency. Then you have many other styles available such as Greek Jacquard towels, Egyptian cotton towels and many more.
Towels also come in many different sizes and generally as the size changes so does the name. For instance the larger towels are usually regarded as possibly a beach towel then as size decreases it becomes a bath towel and then finally the smaller towel as a hand towel. Then you have such items as a tea towel or dish towel otherwise known as a dish cloth. These are all names that have been given to the towel through the ages but in general we all regard the towel as a towel.
